stand up

I'm so blessed, we're so blessed. Christians, stand up, show people what it is you live for, rather then just talking about it. I'm so sick of people thinking its sweet to just ignore parts of the Word, I'm not even talking grey areas, I'm talking black and white. Why do you think it's sweet to go and get drunk? And being unequally yoked? I'm by no means perfect but man, we needa stand up. We need to love. Love God and love people, everything else should flow out of that. I was thinking about this for so long the other day, I had way more to say but maybe I'll just leave it there, otherwise I could harp on for hours. But seriously, can we just stand up for something for once? Could we start by knowing what it is we stand for in the first place? How can we be so passionate in the church or in the conference and just completely forget who and WHOSE we are Monday- Saturday? It's so dumb man, this is for me too, hit me up! Yeah I'm off now.

i really needa get better at this..

on friday night after conference i went and saw batman, such a good movie! so, so stoked on it man...

saturday night after conference we chilled at rosies place and did nothing much of anything really, i love those nights.

mmm sunday afternoon i went to wykies birthday lunch with rico, it was good. so was metropolis that night after church, i should have taken more photos this weekend!

aaand yesterday (tuesday) i hung with isaiah before he leaves

and had dinner with kelsi and jess. we went to al dente, i had some yummm pasta! we got azn photos and then we spotted joshs van across the road, we walked over to it and realised it was unlocked so we sat in there until josh came down from band practise, hahahaha i also wish i got a picture of his face, it was gold heh heh.

about to leave..

at al dente

a couple of shots of us in the van

today i felt pretty sick, and dizzy most of the day, BUT i had possibly the best dinner ever just before, greek yoghurt with walnuts on top, yus!

lost in thoughts

today i just had a really good think about life and things for about 2 hours, i pllaned on sharing some things here but then clean sheets happened and now bed is just way too inviting so im gunna head there and il sahre later in the week.

but for now, boy you are just too good to me. But at the same time, you really suck hahaha.

Can we? Shall we? One day very soon, let us go away together. Just you and me. Can we? Shall we? Call in sick one day and travel to sea and hold hands all day. Can we? Shall we? Eat our sandwiches on the train, get drunk on fresh air and come home tired and never tell anyone... ever.

p.s

"i am only one, but still i am one. i cannot do everything but still, i can do something and because i cannot do everything, i will not refuse the something i can do." helen keller.

woah life goes on

so im back to the 'daily grind' or whatever it is people call day to day life, and its not the total down buzz i imagined. work is pretty sweet at the moment, i really like the people i work with, all 3 of us hahaha and except for the people that work at winz and a few other exceptions our customers are amazing too, so thats nice. its actually something to be so thankful for i reckon coz heaps of people are stuck in jobs that they hate and that would kill me i think.

mmm, anyway. just been watching chick flicks with some sauce girls, nice as, and we had this mean cob loaf with dip for dinner, i feel so so sick now ahahaha. tomorrow morning i have work then heading up to auckland for my sisters engagement party, yee so exciting! and IM CATCHING THE INTERCITY BUS BACK TO HAMILTON SUNDAY MORNING. actually stoked on this believe it or not, i've wanted to for ages, just a weird little dream of mine i know. then danny guglielmucci is speaking at eastside this weekend (wooo!) busy busy as, just trying to find my time to escape to my 'fig tree' and seek my God everyday, I just want my eyes to be open to every opportunity he has for me, to speak, to love. i actually found a new fave on the new hillsong album 'this is our God' its the last song and its called 'with everything' mm here are the lyrics...

open our eyes, to see the things that make your heart cry
to be the church that you would desire, your light to be seen.

break down our pride, and all the walls we've built up inside
our earthly crowns and all our desires, we lay at your feet

let hope rise, darkness tremble
in your holy light, that every eye will see
jesus our god, great and mighty to be praised.

God of all days, glorious in all of your ways
oh the majesty, the wonder and grace
in the light of your name

with everything, with everything, we will shout for your glory
with everything, with everything, we will shout forth your praise

our hearts they cry, be glorified
be lifted high above all names, for you our king with everything
we will shout forth your praise..

and then they do that 'woah oh oh oh..' thing that people dont realise how amazing it is, its like a battle cry or something, i love it lots.

ahh nice times. time for bed, i'll put that song on repeat and then sleepies.

late night hillsong overview

my typing etc will probably be terrible coz im so so tired but cant sleep coz im used to the conference just starting up for the night at this time the rest of this week...

ahh so some highlights were, mike guglielmucci.. woah man! cried everytime i saw him, the strength that he has is incredible, its been 2 years since they told him he had 6 months to live and last night he preached to 30,000 without respiratory help/wheelchair/anything. he couldn't speak for long but it was huge that he did, he spoke on thursday aswel.. we sung healer last night, probably my favourite song and with like 20 singers on stage and then the whole crowd, it was incredible, i dont have words to explain.. we prayed for mike, it was powerful, God is so good. (most people who know me will know that 'healer' has had a pretty big impact on me)

leeland were also amazing! this guy only just turned 20 years old and speaks with the wisdom and knowledge of somebody whos been in the word for, like, 30 years. an amazing band you should definately look at, they have a myspazzz. i bought both albums, il put some lyrics in soon of my fave song that they sung, then you'll know what i mean.

judah smith! just the man. if you wanna borrow the cds i bought of him speaking or his book you totally can, he was just wow. he spoke about the secret place on wednesday(?) and about how we all need a 'fig tree' to hide away and seek God, im pretty keen to find a sweet spot on a hill.

the new hillsong album is amazing weee! il pos some lyrics and then write some more tomorrow..

Tears of the Saints- Leeland

There are many prodigal sons
On our city streets they run
Searching for shelter
There are homes broken down
Peoples hopes have fallen to the ground
From failures

This is an emergency!

There are tears from the saints
For the lost and unsaved
We're crying for them come back home
We're crying for them come back home
And all your children will strentch out their hands,
And pick up the crippled man
Father, we will lead them home
Father, we will lead them home

There are schools full of hatred
Even the churches have forsaken
Love and mery
May we see this generation
In its state of desperation
For your glory

This is an emergency!

Sinner, reach out your hands
Children, in Christ you stand
Sinner, reach out your hands
Children, in Christ you stand

And all your children will stretch out their hands
And pick up the crippled man
Father, we will lead them home
Father, we will lead them home.

Desert Song- Hillsong(Brooke Fraser)

This is my prayer in the battle
When all thats within me feels dry
This is my prayer in my hunger and need
My God is the God who provides.

This is my prayer in the fire
In weakness or trial or pain
There is a faith proved of more worth then gold
So refine me Lord through the flame.

I will bring praise
No weapon formed against me shall remain
I will rejoice, I will declare
God is my victory and he is here.

This is my prayer in the battle
When triumph is still on its way
I am a conqueror and co-heir with Christ
So firm on his promise I'll stand.

All of my life, In every season, You are still God,
I have a reason to sing, I havea reason to worship.

This is my prayer in the harvest
When favour and providence flow
I know I'm filled to be emptied again
The seed I've received I will sow.

The things of this conference have the potential to be life changing, its all in my hands now, ask me how I'm going if you like. x

sydney day 1...

hello from sydney!
its 8:15pm and we've been awake since 11:45pm (aus time) and we're about to go to luna park! woooo!
so so tired, but stoked as anything!

we flew into sydney at 7:00am-ish, first thing we bought was krispy kreme donuts hahahaha how embarassing..

then paul dunn picked us up and took us back to see max! wooo! we went to a sweet beach and scaled rocks and laughed at all the rich people of the area driving their porches. we had a mean car, mean coz its called rambo.. then we went and had some pumpkin soup for lunch and went to some amazing markets! or maybe it was the other way round, i dont quite remember.. we hung out abit then ended up back in town, our backpackers is mean by the way!

then kath, israel and i went exploring the city and shopping for a few hours, fun fun times. they have a four story woolworths here, nightmare i tell you. we also went to st andrews cathedral! the first cathedral in australia built in like 1819 or something, its absolutely gorgeous! with amazing stained glass windows and a HUGE organ! pics and videos up soon, we should probably go wake everyone up and catch our train to luna park (israel and i are getting into some sweet internet action in the lobby/room/thing) everything is bright and busy and exciting! tomorrow we're gunna go to china town in the morning (love) where i hope to find an oversized 50cent tshirt and some tshirts with australian wildlife printed on them (im not kidding)

there was just some yelling in the hostel, dont know what about but i think nz won the rugby against sa so thats a good story. anyway, whatever, i havent slept for way too many hours, night!
